Pay Per View Numbers for Mosley vs. Vargas II Released...

According to published reports, the July 15 rematch between Shane Mosley and Fernando Vargas did not match pay-per-view numbers from the first bout.
HBO announced on Thursday the rematch generated 350,000 buys and $17.5 million in revenue. HBO also reports that out of the 350,000 buys, 180,000 from cable households and 170,000 from homes with satellite.
The first fight in February did much better, bringing in 415,000 buys and $18.6 million in revenue. In regards to the
rematch, HBO PPV's Mark Taffet said: "We're very satisfied with the pay-per-view performance of this event."
The fight will be replayed on Saturday on HBO at 10 p.m. ET.
