Otis Grant Defeats Dingaan Thobela
With a Unanimous Decision Nov 24, 2003  Doghouse Boxing Report
MONTREAL - Middleweight Otis Grant defeated Dingaan Thobela this past Saturday by posting a Unanimous Decision after 8-rounds. Two Judges, Jean Lapointe and Sylvain Leblanc scored the bout 80-71, the 3rd Judge Richard de Carufel scored the fight 80-70, all in favor of Grant. Otis Grant had not fought in 5 years. His last fight was back in November of 1998 against Roy Jones Jr. Grant lost that fight by TKO in the 10th round. Grant, not showing the kind of rust you’d expect from a boxer who has had such an extensive lay-off dominated the scorecards through all eight rounds against Thobela. Grant’s triumphant and long over due return to boxing improves his record to 32-2-1. Dingaan Thobela's record falls to 40-11-2. Other Recent Headlines:
