It was a fun night at the Finish Line Sports Bar and Grill in Pomona Ca., where a full house enjoyed a mixed card of boxing and Muay Thai, presented by Ray Alcorta in association with II Feathers and Warriors Combat Academy. The festivities were highlighted by a quick KO by the headlining Ricky Duenas, who stopped Diamond Baier in the first frame of a scheduled six.

A furious nonstop attack by Duenas forced the referee to halt the action in the first round. With the win, Duenas moved his record to 7-1 with 3 KOs, while Baier's fell to 2-1-1.

The co-featured bout saw a very skilled and poised super featherweight Alejandro Luna, 5-0 (5), drop and stop an overwhelmed William Fisher in two rounds of the scheduled four-rounder. Fisher's record dipped to 0-2 with the loss.

Local favorite, super bantamweight Michael "Lil Warrior" Franco was in the house, supporting his brother, featherweight Daniel Franco, 2-0 (1), who looked shaky at times against a tough Juan Sandoval, 2-6 (2), but got into some good exchanges en route to winning a majority decision via scores of 40-36, 39-37 and 38-38 at the end of four.

In an upset, super lightweight Rufino Flores, 2-3, taking the fight in one day's notice, dropped and overwhelmed Alexander Podrezov, 3-1, with a body attack. The latter did not know how to respond or counter attack it and was on the verge of going down a couple of more times. The Russian fighter held on constantly, managing to hear the final bell.

Flores went on to win a split decision, getting the applause of the crowd who got into the fight, chanting “Rocky” to Flores, making reference to “Rocky IV” due to beating the Russian fighter.

The card also featured three amateur Muay Thai fights, with one of them being a fun, action-packed women's bout.
