Los Angeles, CA - Very few people gave Martin ''Brochas'' Honorio, (32-9-1, 16 Kos) much of a chance back in November of 2009 when he stepped into the ring against then undefeated and feared KO artist John Molina Jr. in a ten round battle to even finish the fight standing... not only did he do just that, but the Mexico City native handed Molina his first professional defeat in a masterful boxing performance. He also walking away with the vacant NABF and NABO Lightweight belts.

After several ups and downs along the way, including three straight decisions going against him, two in 2012 and the last one in May of last year, Honorio steps back into the spotlight in the featured bout against fellow Mexican, the dangerous Miguel Angel ''El Anestesista'' Huerta (28-13-1, 18 KOs). The ballte goes down this Friday night at the Belasco Theater in downtown L.A. As part of the LA FIGHT CLUB / ''Boxeo Estelar on Estrella TV.

The lanky Honorio, who has never been stopped will need to be at his best and shake off any ring-rust early, as Huerta, a sneaky southpaw with speed and pop will surely test Honorio early.

Huerta, who had readied himself against a taller, more powerful puncher in his original opponent, will have to deal with Honorio's skill and sturdy chin, as opposed to the pop his previous opponent was bringing to the table.

With a lot at stake, with the winner moving on, while the latter has to contemplate his immediate ring future, the fight has a lot of meaning for both men, with the sure winners to be the fans, who have never been let down by neither of this two action-packed fighters.

Huerta will not be a walk in the park as among his notable wins have come against Jose Luis Soto Karass (Jesus' brother), Darling Jimenez, Roque Cassiani, Efren Hinojosa, Daniel Alicea and Martin Honorio. He dropped losses to the likes of Mauricio Herrera, Mike Alvarado, Antonio Orozco, Javier Jauregui, Almazbek Raiymkulov, Javier Jauregui (R.I.P) and Victoriano Sosa.

All in all, Huerta has claimed the WBO Inter-Continental lightweight belt and the NABF lightweight title as well.

The fight is set for ten rounds in the Super Lightweight ranks.

In the co-main event, local favorite and rising star Joet Gonzalez (12-0, 5 KOs) will be featured in an eight-round super bantamweight bout, and opening the telecast, newly signed prospect Hector "El Finito" Tanajara Jr. (2-0, 1 KO) of San Antonio, Texas, will make his third LA FIGHT CLUB appearance in a six-round lightweight bout.
