“The Machine” Majewski, 19-1 (13), of Atlantic City meets Latif Mundy,
10-4 (4) of Philadelphia, in a rematch for the vacant WBO
Inter-continental middleweight title over 10 rounds at Resorts Hotel
& Casino, in Atlantic City, NJ, Saturday night. The two met back in
2009 with Majewski winning a decision over 8 rounds at a time when both
boxers were unbeaten.
Global Boxing Promotions and Peltz
Boxing Promotions will co-promote this show that also has two Atlantic
City boxers in Shamone “The Truth” Alvarez, 21-5 (12) and Decarlo
“3mendo” Perez, 7-2-1 (2), in an 8 round co-feature. There are 5
additional bouts.
Majewski is one of the more popular boxers out of
Atlantic City where he now calls home since moving from Radom,
Poland. He always comes to fight and is looking for a knockout this
time against Mundy. Since losing for the first time in his bout with
Majewski Mundy has had his up’s and downs. He was a good Philly
prospect who kind of got “lost in the shuffle” in a stable of boxing
prospects.
In Alvarez, Perez may be going after him at the right time
having 3 straight losses, but certainly lacks the experience on paper
to upset the veteran Alvarez. Fighting for “turf” these two will have
plenty of fans screaming for them from the time they enter the ring.
The
undercard will consist of all 4 round bouts with no boxer having more
than two fights. Emanuel “Pinky” Colon, 2-0 (2), originally from
Colombia, now living in PR where he won both of his fights by knockout
in the first round will be against a very good prospect in
Philadelphia’s Hasan Young, 1-0-1 (0), in a light welterweight bout.
Young drew with Jerome Rodriguez, another very good prospect in his last
bout.
Former Polish amateur champion Patryk Szymanski,
1-0 (0), of Wroclaw, Poland, was the only non-Latino on a 11 bout card
in his debut in Puerto Rico in June scoring a first round knockout. His
opponent is Adrian Wilson, from Atlantic City who is making his
debut. These are welterweights.
Cherry Hill, NJ,
welterweight Anthony Prescott, 1-0 (1), takes on Philly’s Terrell James,
making his debut. David Gonzales, 1-0 (0), takes on fellow Philly
light welterweight Charles Mack, making his debut. The 4-time Poland
amateur champion, Michal Chudecki, of Pozman, Poland, makes his debut
against nearby Bridgeton, NJ, super featherweight Moses Molina, 1-0
(1).
First fight is at 7:30pm and will be broadcast over www.gfl.tv
