Amir Khan's return Date - Plus Notes on Marquez vs Morales, Sergio Martinez and More

In talking to Richard Schaefer today, I found out that WBO jr. welterweight titlist, Amir Khan will make his return to England on April 16th. The site is still to be determined as is the opponent. But I get the strong indication that it will be Lamont Peterson, who just recently drew with Victor Ortiz.

- Also, the reports of Juan Manuel Marquez-Erik Morales being a done deal are premature. And if that fight should take place (about a decade too late for most fans, taste), it will most likely take place on April 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, which Schaefer says he has a hold on.

- And it looks more and more like middleweight champion Sergio Martinez will face WBO jr. middleweight titlist, Sergei Dzinziruk on March 12th at the Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York. Which means that we’ll have a head-to-head battle with that show and Miguel Cotto’s pay-per-view outing against Ricardo Mayorga in Las Vegas...
