Bob Arum: Juan Manuel Marquez vs Lamont Peterson is ’pretty close’

I got off the horn with Bob Arum who tells me
that a fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Lamont Peterson is ’pretty
close’. It would take place on July 14th at Cowboys Stadium in
Arlington, Texas after the two co-headline a card in Mexico City in
March.
It would be a pay-per-view card.
- Arum also tells me that an April 14th bout between Yuriorkis Gamboa
and Brandon Rios is ’virtually closed’. Also a fight between Mike
Alvarado and Ruslan Provodnikov is being strongly considered to open up
that HBO broadcast from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. That would be a
great looking doubleheader.
