The rematch between the 2009 Fight of the Year between Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz will be officially announced on Saturday while the whole boxing community is in Las Vegas for this weekends big fight. The return bout will take place on July 31st at the Mandalay Bay.

Now, here’s the thing, unlike most others, I don’t mind this rematch in the least. Yeah, both guys have hit some tough times since their classic bout that took place in February of 2009. But not on pay-per-view, like this fight will be. Again, you put this on regular HBO and I don’t think fight fans will mind this one bit, but charge them 50 bones, and trust me, there will be a backlash. I hope the boxing business if not falling back into the same bad habits it did a few years ago when there was an influx of pay-per-view cards.

- In unfortunate news, Brandon Rios, who was slated to face Urbano Antillon in an anticipated lightweight crossroads match, got cut yesterday in sparring and has been scratched from ’Latin Fury 14’ in Mexico on May 8th. Antillon, will stay on the card and Top Rank is looking for a replacement as we speak.

- This weeks edition of ’the Main Event’ features Sugar Ray Leonard and Al Bernstein....
