The Show Will Go On (We Think) - Plus Mares vs Agbeko re-visited after Pacquiao vs Mosley

There has been a lot of noise coming from promoter Wilfred Sauerland over the percieved lack of neutrality regarding the officials for the May 14th bout between Arthur Abraham and Andre Ward. In a pair of press releases this week, he complained that was what agreed upon, was not being adhered to. This fight which is taking place on May 14th at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, is in the home state of Ward.

But Showtime’s boxing czar, Ken Hershman told me on Friday afternoon that he has been in touch with both sides and that this ’Super Six’ semi-final bout is "100-percent solid".

Ok, I’ll take him at his word. But I just get the sense that Abraham and Co. are a bit quesy about this fight. Till I see them touchin’ em up in the center of the ring, I’ll be holding my breath over this one.

- Hershman also said that in regards to the fight between Abner Mares and Joseph Agbeko, that this issue will be re-visited after the May 7th bout between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley, which Showtime is distributing and airing on pay--per-view (April 29th, 5:59 pm, Pacific) .
