Lightweight Mercito Gesta is a prospect that I like. The Fil-Am fighter who has a record of 17-0-1/7 KO’s, is facing Oscar Meza (19-3, 17 KO’s) for the WBO America’s Title on June 4th in Miami, Florida on Telemundo. Gesta, like most other fighters of Filipino descent is a southpaw and he seems to have impressive speed. He’s been matched pretty soft thus far in his career but he does look like a young boxer to keep an eye on. Meza, while no world beater, represents a step up for Gesta. I’m actually looking forward to this match-up.

I’m not the only one who ended up getting the Jorge Arce fight from last month on ’Top Rank Live’ on Fox Sports Net. But others tell me that they did get the Humberto Soto-Ricardo Dominguez fight, but only a portion of it C’mon guys, after what took place on TV Azteca, are we going to have the same type of problems all over again on this platform?

Just wondering, in looking back at this past weekend's show on HBO, did any of the B-side opponents (Nate Campbell and Paulie Malignaggi) even win a round?
