Mark 'Too Sharp' Johnson keeps his Boxing Hall of Fame Promise

This most recent International Boxing Hall
of Fame class was announced and it included the likes of Thomas Hearns,
Freddie Roach, Al Bernstein, Michael Buffer and Michael Katz. But to me,
the guy I’m happiest for is Mark ’Too Sharp’ Johnson.
’Too Sharp’ Johnson was the first
real blue-chip boxer I ever had the opportunity to cover back when he
fought for Forum Boxing in the mid-90’s and I know how important this
honor was to him.
As promised a few weeks ago, he said I would be the
first call he made if he was elected. He kept this promise earlier this
morning. I was greatly honored by this promise kept.
