Bob Arum and Oscar De La Hoya Make Up? NOPE! Arum: "I don't even know what the f**k it is"

There was a bit of a stir as it seemed that Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum had made amends on Arum's 79th birthday on Wednesday on Twitter, of all places. Yes, there would be peace in the Middle East and Golden Boy and Top Rank would bury the hatchet and start making fights again.

Only problem is that @bobarum isn't THE Bob Arum but an imposter.

"I'm a perfect guy to be on Twitter," said Arum, on Thursday from his offices in Las Vegas. "I don't even know what the f**k it is."

So how did he find out about his alter ego?

"Lee Samuels told me today. Apparently, I got guys in the office, my television department and the computer department; they follow this Twitter stuff," said Arum. "So they're the ones who spotted it and, of course, put in some sort of complaint to whoever you put it into."

OK, but Arum has a Facebook account, right?

"Nah, what are you crazy?"

For the record, De La Hoya does have a verified Twitter account at @OscarDeLaHoya...And Top Rank has one at @trboxing...Anyone else get the feeling that based on what's taking place in free agency, it's basically the Red Sox and Yankees and everybody else in baseball?...Could Steve Garvey really end up as part of the ownership group of the Dodgers?...This final season of “Friday Night Lights” has been great. I won’t give any spoilers, though...Former Cane, Javarris James has turned into a touchdown machine for the Indy Colts...
