Regarding Golden Boy's
pay-per-view card on May 4th featuring Floyd Mayweather, Richard Schaefer (Golden Boy Promotions CEO) stated to Maxboxing on Tuesday afternoon, “We basically have concluded our negotiations and we are all set. We've
sent the paperwork to our attorneys; we're working with the fighters’
representatives to get the paperwork done, signed, and we're going to announce
it. We're reluctant to announce it without it being signed on a fight of this
magnitude.”
It's believed Mayweather will
be facing Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero with perhaps Saul Alvarez appearing on
this undercard.
Schaefer says an official announcement will be made “in the next few days.”
