San Francisco, CA. - Who is next for Floyd Mayweather? Although seemingly everybody from 140 to 160 lbs. wants to be part of the “Mayweather Lottery,” the most likely foe that could bring in the most money is Saul Alvarez, the Mexican-born WBC 154 lb. titleholder.
The “big money” fight with Manny Pacquiao blew up in the face of Pacquiao and promoter Bob Arum when in the minds of many, Juan Manuel Marquez beat him last November. One of his trainers, Alex Ariza said the day after that, “Manny had been exposed.”
Even if you throw out the Tim Bradley fight in June, Pacquiao has aged considerably as a boxer since December 2010 when talk of him and Mayweather fighting first surfaced. ...
