The kids at the Fraims Boys and Girls Club in Wilmington, DE were treated to a three-round boxing exhibition by two pro fighters, Greg Hackett and Travis Richardson, on May 20.
Before their spirited exhibition, there were three kid-bouts, all with Mr. Cory (a staff member of the Boys and Girls Club). The kids were: Yhaya Tolbert, Zyan Pinkston, and Orlando Ryder. These kids all boxed a good three rounds with Mr. Cory.
Jeff Chandler was also there to sign autographs for the kids. Jeff will also start working with this writer in September at the club. I think he'll be a great asset. He seems to have fun with the kids.
We'd also like to thank James Gibbs, for being the ref and ring announcer; Miss Amanda, for permission to put on the event; and executive director Rachel Kane.
This was the third event of its kind; it seemed to go very well with the staff and kids.
Attendance was about 100 people. The kids received medals and trophies.
