The welterweight bout between Jorge Paez Jr. ,44-5-2-(22,) and Aaron Herrera, 32-3-1-(19), ended in a sixth round technical draw at the new Coliseo Yucatan in Merida, Mexico on Saturday.
The fight was developing into a crowd pleasing affair until Herrera was unable to continue after an illegal punch to the back of the head.
On the same card super featherweight hope Miguel “Alacran” Berchelt scored a third round tko over Antonio Escalante. Escalante was decked twice before the bout was stopped after 2.36.
In a junior middleweight bout Ivan Montero outscored Julio Cesar Avalos via eight round unanimous decision.
