Video: Adonis Stevenson and challenger Tony Bellew nearly came to blows.
WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson and British challenger Tony Bellew nearly came to blows at today’s weigh-in ahead of their world title clash in Quebec on Saturday night.
The pair had to be pulled apart by security staff and their respective teams at the traditional face to face photo shoot at Chateau Bonne Entente.
Bellew weighed in on the 175lbs limit while Stevenson came in just under at 174lbs.
Bellew refused to be intimidated and said: "He got into my face so I butted him.
"He tried to put his face into me so I slammed my head into his nose."
In the main undercard the big punching Sergey Kovalev weighed in at 174lbs.6oz ahead of his WBO light heavyweight title defence against challenger Ismayl Sillakh, who weighed 174lbs.4oz.
