By David Surjick. Tonight’s welterweight bout, Amir Khan vs. Devon Alexander has not only high expectations, but there is much on the line for the winner.
Khan can force his way with a win into his much sought after Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight as well as Alexander getting back into the thick of things at welter.
Alexander seems to be a bit one dimensional which is his southpaw jab and his left cross. There isn’t much of a varied attack from him and he gives such little head movement that he is there to be hit.
Khan has looked sharp against a dangerous Luis Collazo where it looked like the things he and trainer Virgil Hunter have been working on have finally come together
