SecondsOut.com - Former WBO cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli has been banned
for six months by UK Anti-Doping after testing positive for a banned
substance following his British cruiserweight title win against Shane
McPhilbin in March.
According a report on ESPN.co.uk, Maccarinelli’s ban is backdated
from April 19 until October 18, UK Anti-Doping said in a statement on
Wednesday.
The Welshman tested positive for methylhexaneamine, a specified
stimulant often found in nutritional supplements, on March 23, after
beating Shane McPhilbin via unanimous 12 round decision.
