SecondsOut.com - Venezuelan boxer Liborio Solis, 13-3-1-(7), scored a 12 round split decision win over Mexican Jose Salgado, 27-2-(24) to claim the vacant interim WBA super flyweight crown on Saturday night.

The judges scored the bout 117-111, 117-111 for Solis and 117-111 for Salgado. The fight was held at El Palenque de la Feria in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico.
