Centre in London on Thursday by claiming the Olympic Gold medal in the
women’s middleweight division.
The 17 year-old emerged the victor by defeating the favored Russian rival Nadezda Torlopova by a score of 19-12.
Shields produced a combination of strength, power and movement to strike Gold at 75kgs.
