Japan has declared that he will be fired up and ready for the challenge
when he faces pound for pound top 10 boxer Nonito Donaire at the Home
Depot Center in Carson, California on October 13.
The popular southpaw is a national hero in Japan and can’t wait to showcase his skills against the ‘Filipino Flash’.
Nishioka told Japan Times:
"Donaire has a great reputation around the world and is considered one
of the best pound-for-pound fighters," he said. "He’s the one who I’ll
be fired up for the most."
Nishioka will be challenging Donaire for the WBO and IBF super bantamweight titles.
Former world champion Tsuyoshi Hamada, Nishioka will be in for a hard night’s works against the big punching champion.
"How Nishioka handles a guy like that . . . that’ll be really interesting," Hamada said.
