By or provided from SecondsOut.com on Doghouse Boxing. Julio César Chávez Jr. showed he’s in great shape during his last gym workout, in preparation for his fight against Sergio Martinez on September 15th.

Chavez Jr. and Martinez will contest the WBC middleweight title. This bout will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The long awaited fight will be broadcasted live by HBO starting 9 p.m. for USA, and in Mexico by TV Azteca.

Chavez, aged 25, worked out for an intense forty five minutes via the scrutiny of Luis Cornejo his fitness trainer. He then pounded the mits for six rounds and polished it off with a half hour swim.

“I’m ready, I’m feeling great. We will now taper down the workoad, just to perfectly maintain my weight. I’m comfortable with the work done, I can’t wait to fight. It’ll be a great night for Mexico” Julio promised.
