Boxing Results. WBC light flyweight champion Adrian “Confesor” Hernandez, 28-2-1-(17), scored a fourth round knockout over Atsushi Kakutani, 13-4-1-(6), to retain his title at the Gimnasio San Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City on Saturday.

Hernandez and Kakutani fought a ferocious give and take battle until the champion was decked in the first round but recovered sufficiently enough in the next couple of rounds to deck Kakutani three times in a brutal round four before the referee waved off the fight after 1.12.

On the undercard WBA female bantamweight champion Irma Garcia, 7-1-1-(1) lost for the first time when the less experienced Jessica Gonzalez, 3-1, defeated her via split decision. The scores were 97-94, 96-94 for Gonzalez and 96-94 for Garcia.
