What can I say to introduce this boxer? The only way you would not know the Triple G is if you have been sleeping for the past two years. GGG is flaming hot…with the highest knockout percentage of any champion in the history of boxing. Trained by the 2014 trainer of the year, Abel Sanchez, GGG is the most ferocious fighter in the game. Feared by every boxer from 154 lbs. to 168 lbs.

Please welcome the pound for pound best in boxing and the 2014 fighter of the year, into the Dog House…..

David Tyler: How has training camp been and are you doing anything different in preparation for your upcoming bout with Marco Antonio Rubio?

Gennady Golovkin:
Training has been very good. Daily routine of very hard work. Same routine of hard work every training camp. No changes just for Rubio. I believe that hard work will result in win.

DT: Are you pleased that your initial west coast appearance has already sold out including standing room only?

GGG:
Certainly pleased. I want to do best job for the fans at the fight and the many fans watching my performance on HBO. I am very happy for all the support from fans.

DT: Do you think that Marco Antonio Rubio will be your toughest opponent to date?

GGG:
Not sure but I train like he will be hardest competitor. I know he is most experienced but best opponent I will not know until we get into ring.

DT: Are you going for an early knockout?

GGG:
Boxing is very hard to predict. I am ready to go 12 hard rounds. I wish for my fans to enjoy a great fight.

DT: You have had so many knockouts that the fans expect you to kayo every opponent.  Has this pressure affected your style in the ring?

GGG:
No pressure from fans. I know not every opponent will be a knockout. I work hard in the ring and not disrespect any opponent. Boxing is just a sport. No pressure to change style.

DT: Who would you like to be your next opponent?

GGG:
You can ask me after my fight with Rubio. Right now defeating Rubio is my only thoughts.

DT: How about this question. You have said that you would fight anyone from 154lbs. to 168lbs. Does any particular fighter stand out to you?

GGG:
There is many great champions in the middleweight divisions. They are all very tough in their own way.

DT: Canelo Alvarez just signed with HBO. You are an HBO fighter. Your thoughts about Canelo?

GGG:
Canelo is a great young and strong fighter. I hope maybe in the future to meet him in the ring. That would be exciting fights for my fans and the fans of Canelo.

DT: Who are some of your favorite boxers?

GGG:
Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson. That’s just a few of favorites that I think of now.

DT: I read that you are planning on moving your family to California. What is the best thing you like about America?

GGG:
I hope that is possible, for my son and my wife, I am not sure exactly when, I love United States, I want my son to go to school here in California, my son’s education is very important.

DT: Will this Saturday’s match against Rubio be your last fight in 2014?

GGG:
Yes, I think so and I will spend time with my family.

DT: Thanks for taking the time from your training to answer my questions. Hopefully, we can have a more in-depth interview in the future?

GGG:
Your welcome and yes I think so during another interview we can talk more boxing.

DT: Good luck this Saturday against Rubio.

GGG:
Thank you.

Readers: Please don’t miss the guy that all middleweight fighters are avoiding. If you are a HBO subscriber, you get the fight on regular HBO. You will never forget a GGG fight. Tune in this Saturday, the 18th of October, and watch the best fighter in the sport today!

Many Thanks,
David Tyler
