Nakash, Shmouel Win at the Blue!
By Jeff Miller at ringside, DoghouseBoxing.com (Feb 10, 2009)
The action was non-stop Friday night at the Legendary Blue Horizon in North Philadelphia, as promoter Vernoca Michael along with matchmaker Don Elbaum put together a six-bout card.

The main event was a quick one as Israel's Ran Nakash 17-0 (13) scored a second round TKO over Ohio's Ryan Carrol 7-2 (4) in a scheduled eight round cruiserweight matchup. The crisp body punching of Nakash seemed to be the difference, as he put Carrol down three times, forcing Steve Smoger to stop the action at 2:06 of round two.

Friday night was also the return of junior welterweight Elad Shmouel 19-2 (10), also of Israel taking on Pittsburgh's, Khristian Garaci 4-6-1 (3) in the co-feature bout of the evening. Shmouel punished Garaci most of round one landing lighting fast combinations. Again, referee Steve Smoger stepped in to pull the plug, as Shmouel landed about twelve unanswered punches to the body and head of Garaci. Official time was 1:32 of round two.
