Debbie Duran's Boxing Prediction on Oscar De La Hoya vs Manny Pacquiao

Oscar De La Hoya's size will be a major factor in this fight. Although both men were only 3 pounds apart at the weigh-in, De La Hoya might be significantly heavier on Saturday. If he chose to, De La Hoya could just bully Manny Pacquiao around the ring for 12 rounds. He probably won't because he has something to prove and that's that no matter how past his prime he is, Oscar is "The Golden Boy" and with that name comes the standard of legend.

I don't think I've ever seen a fighter so prepared with the task at hand. Pacquiao doesn't intimidate but that's not De La Hoya's goal. His is to win, pure and simple. De La Hoya has to pop his jab and hope he can keep it going long enough to discourage Pacquiao from throwing his right jab or hook.

Pacquiao's a more complete fighter now and if he listens to the man who can help him the most in this fight, Freddie Roach, he can make De La Hoya's job even harder. It will be too. If he really wants to be sure about retirement, he'll break out his Ike Quartey mood and settle up. The latter's what I'm seeing but this fight will surprise those who gawked at De La Hoya's Quartey comeback as a small time miracle.

My Final Prediction:

Oscar De La Hoya by TKO in round 10.
