Zab Judah and Joshua Clottey: “It’s a Deal”
The Welter Report by Gabriel Montoya (May 24, 2008) Doghouse Boxing
Moments ago, I was informed by Dave Richardson, co-manager of Zab Judah, that the contract for the proposed fight between Judah and Joshua Clottey was “in hand. It’s a deal.” Top Rank confirmed and elaborated on what Mr. Richardson told me.

The fight will be August 2 on HBO’s Boxing After Dark series. Contracts, while not signed, are in hand, and the fighters have agreed to terms. An official announcement is set for this Tuesday. No venue has been decided. The
bout will be for the vacant IBF welterweight title.

Judah injury update: Mr. Richardson informed me earlier this week that Zab was fine, healing well, and had resumed training. Judah is expected to take his training camp to Big Bear to prepare for Clottey.

Hatton/Lazcano Schedule reminder.
The broadcast will begin at 12:30pm PT / 3:30pm ET on the Versus Network
