Featherweight contender Diego Magdaleno (21-0, 7 knockouts), let
his hands all night long en route to getting a unanimous decision win over Emanuel Lucero (26-8-1 with 14 knockouts) at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las
Vegas, NV. on Friday as part of Top Rank Live.
Wearing the shortest shorts
allowed by Nevada law, Magdaleno, who is not known as a puncher, nonetheless
dropped Lucero twice and was able to shut out him out using movement,
combinations, and blinding satin trunks that stretched the meaning of that word
or shortened it depending on how close your seats were.
Scores were 100-89, 100-88,
and 100-87.
