Marian Muhammad
IBF President
I think most people will agree that the punishments handed down for the Judah-Mayweather melee was fair enough to Team Mayweather. Although Judah still awaits his punishment, I also feel it is fair to say that his team does deserve the heavier punishment. What I do think is unfair is for IBF President Marian Muhammad ordering a rematch.

Lines clearly need to be drawn here. Is it right for sanctioning bodies to overturn State Athletic Commission decisions or to try and blackball the decision made? Who holds the higher position in these matters? I am trying to understand for the sake of me why the IBF is going to bat so strongly for Zab Judah. As if they feel he was robbed.

Judah may have had the first 4 rounds, but Mayweather clearly owned the remaining 8. And if you want to get judgmental about the 12th round going to Judah, Mayweather was simply toying with him. Technically in cases like these, look to the cards. What do they tell you? Case closed.

The IBF has been in involved in controversial decisions many times before. But to me, their position on this matter is truly disgusting. You're fighting to strip a title from a boxer who clearly won, to give it back to another boxer that shouldn't have had it in the first place. Technically after Judah's loss to Baldomir, the title should have been vacated.

A once admired Zab Judah is turning into a true Paper Champion.

Note to IBF, personally I don't want to see a rematch. It's time to move on, just like you did with Baldomir. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong. Zab Judah lost. If he's looking to redeem himself, then how about this notion? Let Zab Judah fight Margarito on July 29th. And negotiate the Pretty Boy vs Golden Boy fight for September. This is the fight we are truly anticipating. After that Mayweather, should relinquish his IBF, title he doesn't need it anyway. He proved his point already and achieved his goal.

Once again we see with the IBF bully tactics, which confirm that there are too many Chiefs and not enough Indians in the sport of boxing.
