Undefeated featherweight sensation, Julian Ramirez 7-0 (5), is raring and ready to continue to dominate his foes in entertaining fashion, and coming up march 16th, the nineteen year old stinging southpaw will look to do so. As an amateur, the California native compiled up a 73-5 record, earning himself numerous awards. Turning pro just a tad over a year ago, the great nephew of the former champion Genaro Hernandez, has had nothing but success in a short time. No matter who may be across from Ramirez come fight night, the Golden Boy fighter is ready to destroy in a much entertaining way. In this exclusive interview, the young gun speaks out on his career and more, enjoy.

Benny Henderson Jr.: You have been a pro for a year now, with seven victories under your belt. Looking back this past year, with the wins etc. What statement do you feel you have sent out to the fight world?

Julian Ramirez:
I feel that I have shown people, that I have what it takes to be a good pro. I know a lot of people at my age are still learning and have an amateur style. I have always had a pro style.

BH: So, with you saying that you have always had a pro style, the transition from the amateurs to the pros must not have been too hard?

JR:
I fight the same way now as I fought in the amateurs. So it was easy.

BH: Here you are, nineteen years old, gaining publicity. How do you stay grounded, how do you remain focused, at such a young age, an age with temptations etc.?

JR
: I have good people around me. A good family, my family keeps me right, I got so much love from my friends and family.

BH: You are slated to fight again, March 16th in Mexico. As of now it is the TBA, any names been thrown out to you yet?

JR:
Not yet, it may be two days before the fight before I know. But, I be ready for whoever they put in front of me.

BH: What do you feel separates you from the other prospects in your division?

JR:
I really do not know, I just work hard, a lot of people try to box the whole fight, I think I have the crowd pleasing style. I like to go out there for the kill, I do not like leaving it to the judges. Other young guys are going out, I am at the gym, I do what other people don’t do.

BH: Any message you would like to send to the fight world?

JR:
Stay tuned, I am trying to do something with his career. I am not just coming here for one fight, I want to do what it takes to be recognized. If people want to see good fights and knocks outs, then come see me fight!
