Big Dog’s Weekend Wrap Up - Wladimir Wallops Chambers in the final round!
By Benny Henderson Jr. (March 23, 2010) Doghouse Boxing
It was a weekend full of fistic festivities that had its share of redemption, let downs and total domination, as the world of boxing witnessed a handful of worthy throw downs.

Continuing his dominating ways, the IBF/WBO/IBO as well as Ring Magazine’s heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko 54-3 (48), took out another American heavyweight hopeful as the power punching powerhouse stopped America’s Eddie Chambers 35-2 (18) in the twelfth and final round of their heavyweight championship match-up.

Klitschko, who has not lost a bout since late 2004 when being stopped by Lamon Brewster, has went on a twelve fight consecutive win streak winning all but two via knock out.

Both Klitschko brothers have been America’s dream killer of having a world heavyweight champion, since defeating Chris Byrd April of 2006, out of Wladimir’s eight opponents, six of them were American boxers, and all though a few of his opponents had a punchers chance, Klitschko steamrolled the competition.

Out of the American heavyweights Wlad has recently faced, Eddie Chambers seemed to be America ’s best hope of bringing a title home, but once again, that dream was dashed as Eddie feel to Klitschko.

Chambers, not a known power puncher, does have quickness and a savvy ring presence that carried him to a world title, but his lack of strength and willingness to fight Klitschko was the death of his world title dreams, as Chambers fought a defensive battle in trying to keep Klitschko off of him. And all though it seemed Chambers and his survival tactics would fair him well to a decision, but with seconds left in the final round, Klitschko ended the night and fight with a left hook that floored Chambers face down on the canvas earning Klitschko the knock out win at 2:55 in the twelfth.

Once again it was not the most entertaining performance for Klitschko, but it was a dominating one.

The question is…who will be the one to take down king Klitschko?
