Coming
up this Saturday night, warriors will collide, when the former
welterweight champion, Andre Berto 28-1 (22), takes on Robert Guerrero
30-1-1 (18), for Guerrero’s interim WBC welterweight title. Guerrero,
who earned featherweight and lightweight titles, will be fighting in
his second 147-pound match-up. And in this exclusive interview with Doghouse Boxing, “The
Ghost” had strong words for the fight fans, and
Berto. Enjoy!
Benny Henderson Jr.:
How would you rate this training camp compared to others in the past?
RG: This camp has gone way better then my last camp. I feel incredible going
into this fight. Things are a little different because its my second
fight at welterweight and my diet has been much better for this fight.
Bob Santos has done a great job not only as a manager, but also as my
nutritionist. He's the best.
BH:
This is an important fight in your career, what is your mind set going into this match-up?
RG:
With everything that has happened in my life, inside and outside the ring, my focus is like no other fight I've every had.
BH:
What do you feel your keys to victory is in beating Berto?
RG:
I cant give up my game plan, but I'm going to come with a masterful one to say the least.
BH:
What can the fight fans expect from "The Ghost" come fight night?
RG: A whole lot of bombs!
BH:
Any message you would like to send out to Berto?
RG:
Nope, I'll do all my talking in the ring. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. God bless.
