What's next for Antonio Margarito after his stunning 11th round TKO victory over Miguel Cotto this past Saturday more than likely will not be a fight against Oscar De La Hoya. Margarito's manager, Sergio Diaz Jr., doesn't think De La Hoya will want to take on a tough challenge like Margarito for his final farewell fight. De La Hoya plans to fight one last time on December 6th of this year and then retire.

Speaking to the LA Times, Diaz Jr. stated: "We really don't think De La Hoya will fight us. We'll start to hear the excuses. He's really going to work to choose his next fight. He wants to retire, but he doesn't want to retire hurt."

In regards to a possible rematch with Cotto, Diaz Jr. stated: "We are open to a rematch but Cotto may not fight for a while."
