Oscar De La Hoya has a message for Manny Pacquiao. The message from De La Hoya to Pacquiao is if they fight, it will be very personal. Over the last few weeks talks and rumors have intensified of a possible showdown between De La Hoya and Pacquiao for December 6th.

In a recent interview with Insidesports.ph, De La Hoya discussed a deal he made with Pacquiao a few years back when the Filipino Icon signed a contract with De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions. After signing with De La Hoya's promotional outfit, Pacquiao did a complete turn around and ended up resigning with Bob Arum's promotional company, Top Rank.

In regards to why this match-up would be personal, De La Hoya tells Insidesports.ph: “I think it’s very personal because I felt I accepted Manny and I trusted Manny and when we looked into each others’ eyes and we shook hands, I felt we had reached a deal." De La Hoya is adamant if they face one another, it will be personal because of the past. De La Hoya stated to the publication: "But the past is the past, and if we get in the ring it has to be very personal.”
