Bernard Hopkins wants Roy Jones Jr
By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing (Oct 1, 2008)
One of Boxing's most popular fighters, Bernard Hopkins is set to face off against one of boxing's biggest rising stars in Kelly Pavlik. The highly anticipated bout is set to go off at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on Saturday October 18.

At 43 years of age, Hopkins shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. In fact Hopkins not only believes he can defeat the younger Pavlik, but feels a win will propel him to other fights.

If there was a fight that could get Hopkins to finally retire, it would be a fight with Roy Jones Jr. Hopkins who was recently quoted Bernard Fernandez of the Philadelphia Daily News, stated he'd like to continue fighting after Pavlik, hopefully landing a match with Roy Jones Jr.

"I think people still want to see me and Roy Jones Jr. before we both head off to the retirement home." Hopkins added that he thinks the Jones Jr. fight will be his grand exit," said Hopkins.
