Garry Jonas brings the Iron Mike Promotions of Mike Tyson to the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA, Saturday, with 3 bouts featuring Dominicans vs Mexicans and a pair of Cubans along with Pittsburgh’s unbeaten Sammy Vasquez, 12-0 (8) against another DR Berlin Abreu, 7-0 (5), and 3 more bouts rounding out this 8 bout card.

Tyson will be doing his one man act “Undisputed Truth” 2 days before the show at the Sands Casino. Tyson joined Jonas’ second promotion in January at the Target Center in MN via ESPN2. Henry Rivalta worked out a deal for both to join together in November. Jonas made his promotional debut in August of 2013 at the Turning Stone in NY. His 3rd show was this month on the 7th at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. He is Chief Executive with Acquinity Sports.

Two of the featured fighters have fought once each for Jonas and that’s DR’s Claudio Marrero, 14-1 (11), who lost then and will be fighting Mexican Jose Angel Beranza, 36-28-2 (28), in a featherweight 8. The other was Cuban Alexei Collado, 17-0 (16), now out of IRE who will meet Edgar Riovalle, 36-16-2 (25), of MEX, in a super feather 8. The Mexicans come with a lot of fights and a lot of knockouts so expect some explosive bouts.

The main event 10 will feature Cuban and Miami based Umberto Savigne, 11-1 (8), aginst Baltimore’s Maxwell Taylor, 18-6-1 (8), at light heavyweight.

DR’s Juan Carlos Payano, 14-0 (8), takes on German Meraz, 46-29-1 (25), of MEX, in a bantamweight 8. Unbeaten boxers Pittsburgh southpaw Sammy Vasquez, 14-0 (8), meets DR’s Berlin Abreu, 7-0 (5), in a welterweight 6. Vasquez is a military vet who served in Iraq, and a former national GG champion.

Orlando’s southpaw Erickson Lubin, 3-0 (3), who has fought on the last 2 cards Jonas-Tyson has promoted meets Tirobio Ball, 4-1-1, of MS, in a welterweight 4. Dennis Galarza, 2-0 (1), is a Brooklyn featherweight who won on the Jonas-Tyson January card, and meets Bethlehem’s Jesus Gonzales, 1-4 (1), who lost to 4 unbeaten fighters. Farid Aghayev, 1-0 (1), is a middleweight from Azerbaijan who turned pro in OK in 2013 and will meet TBA, over 4 rounds.
