Atlantic City’s 2 nd Annual All Star Boxing Legends Gala Tribute Dinner is set for June 1 st , 6:30pm at Resorts Casino Hotel’s Ballroom. Program Founder/Chairman and Atlantic City attorney, Jonathan Diego, Esq. (jondiego@thedwyerlawfirm.com), along with the entire Boxing Legends Committee look forward to another unforgettable evening with some of the best fighters and personalities in professional boxing history.

Once again Atlantic City will be the hot spot for the Annual All Star Boxing Legends Gala Tribute Dinner. Last year there were close to 60 honorees, and this year it will be cut back to 35, but with bigger names making it the place to be for all boxing fans! There will be 35 Honorees for 2013, and 25 of the 2012 Honorees will also be present. There are boxers, promoters, managers, trainers, photographers, referees, judges, writers and others. Get a chance to meet, take pictures and receive autographs from some of the biggest names in boxing!

There will be a special recognition for Hector Camacho, Sr. who passed away in 2012. His son Hector, Jr. will be there as a A.C. Boxing Legend Honoree. The “Macho Man was a legend in the game. Also being honored posthumously are Carl “The Truth” Williams and tony “Pound for Pound” Martin. Whenever the “ten count” is heard it puts chills up and down a true boxing fans spine.

Though there will almost be too many champions and near champions to mention here goes some the 2013 Honorees whom have confirmed their attendance: Iran “The Blade” Barkley, WBC 160, IBF 168 & WBA 175 champion and two time conqueror of Tommy “The Hit Man” Hearns; Atlantic City’s Virgil “Quicksilver” Hill, WBA/IBF 175 and WBA Cruiser champ; Keith Holmes, WBA 160; DeMarcus “Chop-Chop” Corley, WBO 140; William “KO King” Guthrie, IBF 175; William Joppy, WBA 160; Cory Spinks, IBF/WBC/WBA Super World 147; Tony “TNT” Tubbs WBA Heavyweight and Marlon “The Magic Man” Starling, WBA/WBC 147 champion.

Also being honored as Atlantic City Boxing Legends are: Michael Borao (Boxing Insider); Dr. Dominic Coletta, NJHOF; Kathy “Wildcat” Collins, IFBA, IWBF, WIBF, WIBA champion; Ken Condon, Caesar’s Boxing Consultant; NJ’s Eddie Cotton, referee; Philly’s Tony “Dynamite” Green; NJ’s William “Bo” James; Scott Hirsch, manager; Jackie Kallen, manager; Cedric Kushner, promoter; Tony “the Tiger” Marshall, IBC and NABF champ; Jameel “Big Time” McCline; DE’s Henry “Hank” Milligan; NJ’s Randy Neumann, boxer/referee; Daryl Peoples IBF President; Tony Perez, referee/judge; Barbara Perez, judge; Joan Pierce, Pre-fight Physicals for all Boxers; Dennis Rappaport, manager/promoter; “Mighty” Ivan Robinson, USBA/NABF champ (inducted into PA HOF in May); John “The Iceman” Scully, boxer, trainer, commentator; Dorin “Poison” Spivey, NABA champ; Don Trella, judge; David Weinberg, Press of Atlantic City writer and Chuck “Bayonne Bleeder” Wepner, Original Rocky and NJ champ.

The 2012 Honorees who will be returning are AC’s Shamone Alvarez, Benny Amparo, Ray Bailey, Charley “Choo Choo” Brown, Vinny Burgese, Johnny Carter, Jeff Chandler, Bobby Czyz, Buster Drayton, Diane Fischer, Calvin Grove, Rob “Bam Bam” Hines, Richie Kates, Hank Lundy, Patrick Majewski, Nate “Mr.” Miller, Chuck “The Professor” Mussachio, Joe Pasquale (big help with this event), Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Mike “the Jewish Bomber” Rossman, Bruce “Atlantic City Express” Seldon, Steve “Double SS” Smoger (inducted into PA HOF in May), and Dave Tiberi.

Diego stated “For over half a century professional boxers have provided Atlantic City fight fans with exciting moments. Short periods of time where these modern day gladiators figuratively and literally expended their blood, sweat and tears for an opportunity at greatness. The Boxing Gala Committee intends to ensure these men, years after their professional careers have ended, truly know and understand they are still appreciated, respected and loved after their time in the ring has ceased.” Jonathan Diego, Esq.
