At a press conference recently at the Crowne Plaza in Wyomissing, PA, promoter’s Marshall Kauffman of Kings Boxing Promotions and David Feldman of XFE announced Saturday’s return of boxing to the Santander Arena in Reading, PA.
Main event boxer Frankie De Alba, 12-1-2 (4), of Reading, and winner of 10 straight fights is coming off a tough split decision win over Israel Suarez and faces Pablo Batres, 7-9-1 (2), of Sonoro, Mexico, who has won his last 3 fight. This will be for the vacant UBF All America super featherweight title over 8 rounds. Mike Melendez will be UBF representative.
”I thank God for he’s pulled me out of situations and I thank Marshall Kauffman who has believed in me,” said De Alba. He brings a big following and is an action packed fighter. There will be 5 undercard 4 rounder’s matched in competitive fights along with 3 amateur bouts prior to professional card. Locals Robert Ramos and Christian Molina of Allentown, Pat Kehoe and Miguel Martinez, of Reading and Rolondo Chinea of Lancaster, Benjamin Burgos of Mt. Pocono and Antonio Dubose of Philadelphia will be appearing in these bouts.
