Mack-Henry and Rosado-Guerrero on ESPN2 February 6th!

Prize Fight Boxing will present a pair of excellent matches at the Wicomico Civic Center, in Salisbury, Maryland on Friday, February 6th, over ESPN2.

The main event will be NABA light heavyweight title bout between Yusaf Mack 26-2-2 (16) who won the NABA title in September stopping Omar Pittman and Chris Henry 23-1 (18) who won the NABF title in November over Corey Cummings in 12. Only one title is at stake.

Mack’s two losses were as a super middleweight. He has won his last three fights as a light heavyweight. As a former USBA super middleweight champion Mack has been in with the better opposition including a draw with Randy Griffin, Alejandro Berrio, Librado Andrade and Daniel Judah.

Henry is a former national amateur champion whose one loss is to Adrian Diaconu for an interim WBC title bout in his opponent’s home country of Romania. His biggest win is a stoppage of Rubin “Hollywood” Williams in 2008.

The co-feature is an 8 round bout between Philly’s light middleweight Gabriel “King” Rosado 10-2 (6) and Salisbury’s southpaw middleweight Fernando “Warrior of the Cross” Guerrero 12-0 (11) with a catch weight of 157.

Rosado’s biggest win was in his last fight in June defeating previously unbeaten James Moore in Brooklyn over 8 rounds. Rosado had Moore down in the 5th round of this one sided match on ESPN2 before Moore’s many fans. Rosado will be coming into the same environment in Guerrero’s hometown. Rosado has been a pro since 2006 and reversed one of his losses in winning his last 4 bouts. This will be his second 8 rounder. To keep active Rosado has served as a Bernard Hopkins sparring partner for the Kelly Pavlik bout in October.

Guerrero’s biggest win was in October over previously unbeaten Tyrone Watson on Showtime in Salisbury. All but his debut were in 2008. This will be his second 8 rounder. Except for his lone decision win none of his knockout bouts have lasted 4 rounds.

There was a question about this fight being for the WBC light middleweight Youth title at 10 rounds. Rosado has only fought once over 155 while Guerrero has never fought under 159. Rosado has conceived to both changes. Prize Fight claims it has always been for 8 rounds.

On the under card will be a pair of bouts featuring a 6 rounder with unbeaten Philly super middleweight Farah Ennis 8-0 (4) and a 4 rounder with unbeaten Akron, Ohio light middleweight Shawn Porter 3-0 (3) with opponents to be announced. Chris Middendorf is the matchmaker.
