Percy “Buster” Custus of Shuler’s
Gym will feature Saturday night at 3801 Market Street’s First
District Plaza Philly’s Yusaf Mack in the main event and Dhafir
Smith in the co-main event.
Mack has held the USBA title in the
light heavyweight division. He hopes to get himself back into the
title picture with a win Saturday night since losing his last fight
to IBF champion Tavoris Cloud in June of last year.
Dhafir Smith after defeating former IBF
super middleweight champion Jeff Lacy hopes to stop a 3 fight losing
streak against Quinton Rankin of Charlotte, NC in the light
heavyweight division. Rankin had his unbeaten record stopped in his
last fight against Cuban Umberto Savigne earlier this month.
Both fights are scheduled for 6 rounds.
The undercard will feature the professional debut of Kareem
McFarland of N. Philly in the welterweight division. Also Bo
Lattimer, Alex Barbosa and John Goldwire of Philly and Atlantic
City’s Althea Saunders will be featured in other 4 rounder’s.
Doors open at 6pm and first fight
scheduled at 7pm.
