He is trained by the former champion Drayton.

Tovar’s last fight was May 17th in his hometown of Lafayette, Indiana on the same card Cohen started his win streak. Tovar is a former NABC super middleweight champion. This will be Tovar’s first fight out of his home state of Indiana.

A good undercard filled with some of the top prospects in the area will feature Dennis Hasson 5-0 (2), Tony Ferrante 4-0 (1), Mike Tiberi 6-1 (3) and Pedro Martinez 3-1 (2) who is returning to do battle with Kamarah Pasley 1-3 (1), who won his first fight two weeks ago.
