Hasson, Evans and WIBC Title Bout at Tropicana in AC Friday

Dee Lee Promotions in association with Tropicana Casino and Resort
will feature “Summer Super Brawl” with Philadelphia’s Dennis Hasson,
13-0 (5) and Coy Evans, 10-1-1 (2) in co-main event 8 rounders. In
addition there will be a 10 round WIBC welterweight title bout with Lisa
Noel, 9-6 (5), of York, SC, and Kita Watkins, 6-8 (1), of Camden, ARK.
Hasson
is now fighting out of Hockessin, DE, under Champs Management with
former IBC Champion Dave “TNT” Tiberi as his trainer. Together they
have posted 2 knockout victories this year and are looking for an
exciting bout with George “The Rooser” Armenta, 14-8 (11), of Silver
Spring, MD, who 2 fights ago defeated Philadelphia’s Charles
Hayward. This is scheduled for 8 rounds in the light heavyweight
division.
The co-main event features Evans with TBA in a
featherweight 8 rounder. Evans is coming off his first career loss in
12 fights and is eagerly looking to get back in the win column. He is
trained by “Bozy” Ennis.
The 10 round female title bout is
one of Dee Lee’s trademarks in supporting women’s boxing. Garland is
coming off 2 wins this year while Watkins has won 2 of her last 3 with a
split decision loss for the GBU and WIBF world titles. Both women are
looking to bring home their first world title.
There will
be 9 other bouts scheduled making it 70 rounds of boxing! Matchmaker
Nick Tiberi had his work out with this card and has brought in some top
young talent for the undercard. Kennett Square’s Anthony Caputo Smith,
13-0 (10), Smyrna, DE, Mike Tiberi, 19-1 (7),with heavyweights in
Philadelphia’s Joey “Polish Thunder” Dawejko, 6-0-1 (2), and Norfolk,
VA, Dorsett Barnwell, 6-0 (3) are featured in separate bouts.
Atlantic
City’s Isiah Seldon, 6-0 (3), trained by his father Bruce who is the
former IBF heavyweight champion, and Antowyan Aikens, 4-0 (1), along
with Millville’s Joshua Reyes, 1-0 (0) will bring in the home
crowd. Another VA boxer Frankie “Freight Train” Filippone, 9-2 (2),
returns. Philadelphia’s Saud “Kid Grady” Clark will be making his debut
in the welterweight division.
Doors open at 7pm with first bout scheduled at 8pm. The card will be streamlined on gfl.tv
