Did Manny Pacquiao’s Stance for God Cost Him Title? (Pacman still P4P Better than Floyd Mayweather)

Manny Pacquiao made a stand against
President Barrack Obama’s “coming out of the closet” support
for Gay marriage. Prior to the Bradley fight HBO’s Max Kellerman
questioned if Pac Man’s new found belief in God could make him less
of a fighter? It seems whenever God’s name comes into the picture
the liberals/atheists come out of the woodwork and attack!
Both Pacquiao and Tim Bradley have
strong religious beliefs but the Pac Man is the No. 1 P4P boxer in
the world who hadn’t lost since 2006. In watching Nik Wallenda
walk a tightrope across Niagra Falls he prayed to his Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ continually. ABC cut it out most of the time and even
his father would interrupt him during this walk as he prayed. We
live in a country where the name God has been taken off of monuments
so possibly a city like Las Vegas could have been gotten two with the
two judges chosen for the “big fight”.
When the HBO judge Harold Lederman
claimed that the two judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross were not
qualified for this level of a fight you knew something was in the
works. "I could have given them 10 judges who would have scored that fight correctly," said Lederman who was quoted recently by USA Today.
Remember when the promoter of this fight Top Rank’s Bob
Arum brought in a MI and IL judge in 1992 to work the James “Lights
Out” Toney defense against Dave “TNT” Tiberi to Atlantic City,
NJ? Tiberi was a clear winner on the NJ judges score card along with
the many fans watching. The two out of state judges went for Toney.
Did lightning strike twice? Tiberi vowed never to fight again and
didn’t. He created the Muhammad Ali Act to prevent promoters from
doing what Arum did to him as a fighter. By the time it got to NV
the then and now Senator Harry Reid watered it down. So don’t
expect any action from Reid on this one.
Does Arum want to make sure Floyd
Mayweather never gets the payday a Pacquaio-Mayweather fight would
bring him? You don’t have to fix a fight, just put in an inferior
opponent so why not inferior judges? Even Bradley could not bring
himself to say “I thought I won the fight”. He said “I will
have to look at the tapes”. (*editor's note: Bradley has since gone on record to say he won the fight.) It’s a shame a good guy like
Bradley got caught in the middle of this but it could have happened
if “jailbird” Mayweather ever fought him. We all know how the
image of boxing would be with Mayweather instead of Pacquaio as the
No. 1 P4P boxer people look to! When you compare who Pacquaio has
fought to who Mayweather has fought there is no comparison. Pac Man
has earned his reputation at the No. 1 boxer in the world!
