King Promotions will feature highly decorated amateur Travis “GW Hope” Kauffman as he returns to the Riveredge Hotel and Restaurant in Reading, Pennsylvania Saturday night in “The Night of the Rising Stars”!

The former 2005 #1 ranked USA super heavyweight and PAL champion puts his unbeaten record 12-0 (9) on the line against Josh “Griz” Gutcher 18-9 (13) who has more knockouts than Kauffman has fights. Gutcher fought for the NBA world title in August of 2006. Twelve of Gutcher's opponents have been unbeaten, losing
to four of them.

This marks Kauffman’s return to Reading since his last four bouts were out of the area. His last appearance was in March of 2007 at the same Riveredge stopping Big Joe Stofle. It will mark Kauffman’s third appearance at the local Hotel. He has been in camp with former WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman’s on several occasions. Kauffman’s father, Marshall, trains both Rahman and his son.

Reading’s hard hitting light middleweight Keenan Collins 12-4-1 (8) returns to action for the first time since December of 2007. Collins was in a disputed fight on ESPN2 last year against Delvin Rodriguez. The referee ruled in his favor saying he was cut by an elbow which was later reversed to a loss. Collins will be opposed by the former WBC USNBC champion Clarence “Sonny Bono” Taylor 13-17-2 (6) of Wilmington, Delaware, who stopped David Medina 14-1 for the title. He also stopped Luis Alberto Santiago 18-7-1 in Lancaster in the 1st round in 2006!

Southpaw Julio Cesar Matthews 4-0 (3) takes on his toughest opponent to date in Pittsburgh area’s cruiserweight Chris Stallworth 9-1 (3), nephew of Pittsburgh Steeler and Hall of Famer John Stallworth. Matthews came back this year after a 10 year absence to score two knockouts. He has a large following from the Allentown area.

Always exciting Lucian Gonzalez 6-4-1 (1), unbeaten in his last five fights, takes on New York’s Washington Hago 4-3 (2) in a featherweight match. Puerto Rico’s Esteban Rodriguez 2-1-1 (1) now living in nearby Lebanon fights debuting Jose Martinez to round out the card.
