ShoBox "The New Generation" and Goossen-Tutor Promotions are bringing in two of the top young talents in the country in Brandon Gonzales, 14-0 (10) and 2008 Olympian Javier Molina, 9-0 (4) in a pair of 8 round co-features. Bally’s Event Center, in Atlantic City, NJ, will host the show.

Tony Thompson and Eddie Chambers were to headline but Chambers had to pull out with a back injury. So the rest of the card goes on with Gonzales, out of Sacramento taking on veteran Ossie “The Ghanaian Gladiator” Duran, 26-8-2 (10), out of Paterson, NJ. Gonzalez hasn’t fought since January when he defeated Lester Gonzalez, then 11-1-1. Previously he stopped Byron Tyson, 9-1-2, in August of 2010.

Duran spent the first 10 years of his career between Ghana and the UK a two-division Commonwealth champion. He made his US debut in 2006 winning his first 3 fights before losing in 10 to unbeaten James Kirkland. He followed up with a 12 round draw against Eromosele Albert, then 21-2. He last lost to Fernando Guerrero, then 15-0, by majority decision in Guerrero’s home town. He has since won his last 3 fights defeating a pair of Philadelphia boxers in Jamaal Davis and Latif Mundy with Matt Vanda, then 43-11 in between the two. The younger Molina will be meeting his toughest opponent to date.

2008 Olympian Medina will be having his fifth fight of 2011 last defeating John Revish, 10-4-2 last month. Medina is from Norwalk, CA, and will be taking on Artemio Reyes, of Colton, CA, who is 13-1 (11), having won his last 12 fights including winning the WBC Latino welterweight title in August stopping Miguel Angel Munquia. This should be an interesting match-up.

There will be 5 bouts scheduled for 4 rounds with NJ boxers in John Lennox from Carteret, Korey Pritchett from Camden, Jason Sia from Ewing. From Philadelphia there is Ramon Ellis, Jesse Crawford, Korey Sloane and Anthony Allen. First fight is at 9pm while the televised portion starts at 11pm.
