Amir “Hardcore” Mansour
The man is back and the DE fans are looking forward to the unbeaten southpaw Amir “Hardcore” Mansour, 15-0 (11), whose 8 fight knockout streak was broken with a solid win over former contender Dominick Guinn in August at the Dover Downs Casino & Hotel.

Manour, who is ranked in the WBC ratings will be taking on Epifanio “Diamante” Mendoza, 32-12-1 (28), of Barranquilla, COL, who stopped unbeaten Puerto Rico Olympian Carlos Negron, then 13-0, in his last fight in PR. He started his career with 16 straight knockouts all within 3 rounds. He’s held numerous titles and once fought Chad Dawson for the WBC light heavyweight title. At 36, he is 3 years younger than Mansour.

Mansour, under Keith Stoffer’s management has scored 6 impressive wins in 15 months since his return. Moses Robinson, Tommy Barnes and Danny Davis will be in his corner. The Dover Downs Casino has promoted 5 of his 6 bouts with the other in Atlantic City. This bout will be for the vacant World Boxing Federation Intercontinental heavyweight title. Mansour has won 3 titles in his last 2 fights including the IBF North American, interim WBO NABO and the World Boxing Foundation. His win over the 41 bout Guinn who had never been stopped was a shutout on 2 scorecards and lost only 1 round on the other. It promises to be a knockout of a fight that will pack the Rollins Room so get your tickets early!

The co-feature will also be scheduled for 10 rounds with light welter’s Edgar “El Chamaco” Santana, 26-3 (17), formerly of Manati, PR, now of New York, returning from his explosive knockout at the casino in August. He is pitted against tough Wilfredo “El Flaco” Negron, 26-16-1 (19), of Toa Alto, PR. Santana has won 21 of his last 22 fights. Negron has challenged Zab Judah for the IBF light welterweight title.

In an 8 round lightweight match Dorin Spivey, 39-6 (26), of Portsmouth, VA, is matched with Angel “The White Tiger” Rios, 9-8 (6), of PR, now out of the Bronx, NY, who has held his own in his 4 bouts in 2011 since his return from 2003. He won’t disappoint the fans against the 38 year old Spivey who is using this as a tune-up fight. And we know what sometimes happens in tune-up fights.

Local favorite Anthony Smith, 11-0 (9), of Kennett Square, PA, with 5 straight knockouts, comes into this one against the much more experienced Douglas, Otieno, 23-7 (12), of Kenya, who has held several African titles. This is scheduled for 6 rounds in the light heavyweight division.

Putting his 11 fight winning streak on the line is another favorite in Smyrna, DE, super middleweight Mike Tiberi, 17-1 (7), will be against Emil Gonzalez, 5-5 (3), of Cabana, PR, who has never been stopped and is coming off a win in June. Wilmington, DE, light welterweight Ryan Belasco, 15-5-3 (3), is matched against Herbert Quartey, 7-6 (4), of Accra, GH, in a 6 rounder.

Lamont “Problem Solver” Singletary, 2-0 (2), of Dover, DE, returns against Robert Walder, 0-0, of Forked River, NJ, in a cruiser 4. Wilmington’s Omar “Super O” Douglas, 2-0 (1), is matched against Miguel Antonio Rodriguez, 0-0, of Philadelphia in a 4 round lightweight match. Super featherweight Ronica Jeffrey, 8-0 (1), of Brooklyn, NY, and John Bowman, 0-0-1, of Dover, DE, are also scheduled.

Matchmaker Nick Tiberi promises another great show which is the Casino’s fourth of the year.
