Joel Diaz & Guillermo Sanchez Headline at Bally’s in Atlantic City Saturday

John Lynch’s P4P Promotions features Joel Diaz, 10-0 (9), of Palmdale, CA, in a 10 round super featherweight match-up against Puerto Rico’s Guillermo Sanchez, 13-6-1 (5),  now out of Buffalo, NY.  Sanchez has defeated 4 previous unbeaten boxers and hopes to add to that with a victory over the unbeaten Diaz.  Bally’s Park Place Hotel Casino will hold the event.

In a loaded undercard light middleweight Glen Tapia, 14-0 (8), of Passaic, NJ, looks to stay unbeaten when he meets upset minded Hilario Lopez, 12-11 (8), of Parma, ID, who once held the interim WBC Youth world title, in a 8 round light middleweight match.  In a 6 round light middleweight fight Thomas “Cornflake” Lamanna, 8-0 (5), of Millville, NJ, takes on Yolexcy Leiva, 5-4 (4), of Nashville, TN, who 2 fights ago stopped previously unbeaten Benny Costantino, then 7-0.

Two unbeaten heavyweights in Philadelphia’s Joey Dawejko, 7-0-1 (3), and Dorsett Barwell, 6-0 (3), of Norfolk, VA, who won his last bout in Atlantic City in February both try to stay unbeaten over 6 rounds.  Patrick “Paddy Boy” Farrell, 7-1-1 (3), of Bayonne, NJ, is pitted against Wayne Hampton, 5-5-4 (3), of Capitol Heights, MD, in a heavyweight 6.  

Atlantic City’s Lavarn Harvell, 12-0 (7), will be featured in a 6 round light heavyweight bout.  3-time Irish National champion Tioka Khan Slary, makes his debut against Jamil Winfield, 0-1, of VA, in super featherweight 4.  Anthony Gangemi, of NJ, makes his debut against Jimmy Ellis, 1-1 (1), of SC, in a middleweight 4.  3-time NJ amateur champ Tyrell Wright, of Jersey City, NJ, makes his debut, against Dennis Benson, 1-2, of Norfolk, VA, in a heavyweight 4.  Jason Sia, of Ewing, NJ, 0-5, takes on debuting Tyrone McKenna in an all NJ 4 round light welterweight bout.

Doors open at 7pm and first bout at 7:30pm.
