They come from Camden, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, and Reading, PA, and all six can fight. They have a combined record of 79-7-8, with 32 knockouts.

JASON SOSA, 18-1-3 (14) of Camden, NJ, has a Dec. 19 date with Nicholas Walters, 26-0 (21), of Montego Bay, Jamaica, the former WBA Featherweight Champion. They collide over 10 rounds—or less—at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY. Heavyweights Bryant “By By” Jennings, of Philadelphia, and Luis Ortiz, of Havana, Cuba, meet in the main event.

Ranked No. 8 by the IBF and No. 13 in the WBO, Sosa faces his biggest test against Walters, who lost his title in June when he failed to make the 126-pound featherweight limit. Walters has fought over the featherweight limit in 10 of his 26 fights.

Sosa, 27, is trained and managed by Raul “Chino” Rivas and promoted by Peltz Boxing and Top Rank. He has won 14 in a row, the last 13 by knockout. “This is a great opportunity for us. We have a lot of respect for Nicholas Walters but we are up for the challenge. We will continue to greatness after this fight. I want to take the opportunity to thank Russell Peltz, HBO and Top Rank for this opportunity. Sosa has worked extremely hard to be where he is today. Due to the fact that he only had 3 amateur fights he is still learning on the job as well as the fact he is extremely smart and a hard worker. I am very confident he will be victorious December 19th. He can contribute much of his success to the team that he has behind him. Thank you to all who support Jason Sosa,” said Chino Rivas. He trains at Victory Boxing, 600 Kresson Avenue in Cherry Hill, NJ. “Jason likes to be challenged and he jumped at the opportunity to fight Walters,” said J Russell Peltz. “It’s a big step up for him but that’s what he likes—a chance to prove himself against the best and Walters is one of the best little men around.”

TEVIN ”AMERICAN IDOL” FARMER, 20-4-1 (5), of Philadelphia, is a southpaw and the closest thing to Philly’s “Gypsy” Joe Harris, a welterweight star of the late 1960s. Riding his own 13-fight win streak, Farmer is managed by Mark Cipparone’s Club 1957 and also trained by Rivas.

Farmer, 25, upset previously unbeaten Emmanuel Gonzales (14-0) midway thru 2014 in Boston, MA. The combined record of Farmer’s last three opponents is 55-3-2. He is ranked No. 15 by the WBC.

“I am extremely proud of Tevin Farmer. Reason being that at one time he was nothing but an opponent with a record of 7-4-1 with 1 KO. His hard work as well as myself and Rasheim Jefferson and the support of his manager Mark Cipparone have transformed him into one of the best 130 pound fighters in the world whose record is now 20-4-1 with 6 KO’s. The sky is the limit of how far he can go,” said Chino Rivas. He trains at Victory Boxing, 600 Kresson Avenue in Cherry Hill, NJ.

FRANK SANTOS DeALBA, 16-1-2 (6), of Reading, will be headline on Nov. 20 in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena against Jesus Lule, of Ft. Myers, FL.

The 28-year-old DeAlba, a southpaw, has been trained by Anibal Adorno since moving from Reading to Allentown, PA, more than 18 months ago. He is originally from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

“Frank is still learning on the job but gets better with every fight,” said promoter Marshall Kauffman. “He did not have more than 15 amateur fights and lost in his pro debut, but since has won 16 with two draws, one of them against Tevin Farmer. They both have advanced well since.”

The lightweights are both from Philadelphia and had very successful amateur careers.

ANTHONY BURGIN: At 9-1 (2) Burgin is also trained by Chino Rivas and managed by Rivas and Adrienne Soto. He is promoted by Lou DiBella. He is unbeaten in PA and NJ at 9-0. His only loss was in CT to an unbeaten boxer.

Burgin was training at the Front St. Gym in North Philly as an amateur and moved to another gym in South Philly with his then trainer. He was told by the owner of that gym to sign a 50-50 contract a week before he was to go to the Nationals or else clear out. He and his trainer cleared out.

His biggest win was over another Philadelphian Frank Trader who was 6-1 at the time. He is 23. Burgin fights like a puncher though he has only scored 2 knockouts. He trains at Victory Boxing, 600 Kresson Avenue in Cherry Hill, NJ.

“Anthony Burgin is a rising prospect. He had a setback losing a fight he was winning on every card. I believe that defeat made him into so much better of a fighter. He worked hard and came back in August and got the first round KO now he is training for his next bout to be announced.

DAMON ALLEN: 8-0 (3) Allen is trained by his father Damon Allen, Sr. who is assisted by Ronnie McCoy with Mua Walladeen as his strength and conditioner at the Mitch Allen Gym in West Philadelphia that his named after his great grandfather Mitch Allen who once lost a decision to Hall of Famer Joey Giardello.

Allen attended Northern Michigan University where some boxers went onto become world champions and run by Philadelphia’s Al Mitchell. Allen just came off a win in CA that his promoter Golden Boy promoted. He was inactive for a 15 month period in changing management. His is 23 and in his recent fight in CA he defeated Oscar Santana who defeated Farmer in Farmer’s debut. He had 4 fights in Philadelphia and 3 in the nearby towns and 1 in Atlantic City.

“I signed with Golden Boy Promotions whom I consider the best promotional team in the country. I’m hoping my next bout will be in late December or early January. I’ve had two fights for Golden Boy,” said Allen. He was inactive for 15 months while negotiating a new contract. He was a 2012 Olympic Trial participant.

ANGEL OCASIO: 8-0-2 (2) of Philadelphia. He is trained by his father Papo Ocasio, promoted by Hard Hitting Promotions. He is managed by MAK Boxing Management. Ocasio returned to the ring after a 34 month lay-off on October 30th at PA Sheet Metal Workers Hall in South Philly. His next fight is scheduled for January 22nd at PA Sheet Metal Workers Hall in South Philly. His two draws are with Jason Sosa. He trains at the Front Street Gym in North Philadelphia.
