Jermain Taylor is set to take on Arthur Abraham on SHOWTIME's Super Six World Boxing Classic starting this month on October 17th. The fight takes place in Berlin, Germany.

Taylor's most recent performance was in April against Carl Froch. In that fight, Taylor would lose in the 12th round by way of a TKO loss. Taylor blamed the loss on being winded in the later rounds.

In a recent teleconference, Ozell Nelson who trains Taylor discussed how losing 20 pounds in a couple weeks before the fight did not help Taylor. This time however Nelson states that Taylor is sparring on his weight: "Jermain looks like he’s in excellent shape, he's got his weight down. For the first time in years he's sparring on weight. It's not like his last fight where he’s losing 20 pounds in a couple weeks."

Nelson would go on to add that Taylor loves the Big Mac from McDonald's, but isn't indulging in the fast food at this time: "His weight is down and that tells you a lot right there because Jermain loves to eat. He loves a Big Mac any day. But this kid right now hasn’t had any Big Macs."
